Registering Spectrometer Time
To register for spectrometer time, you must first complete a project form and email it to Dr. Patrick Judge and Dr. Marcus Foston. The form is designed to give us information about your project goals and the sample(s) to be run to help us determine which experiments are best suited for your project. You can download the project form here. Once completed, Patrick will assist you in setting up an ilab account to register for time on the spectrometer. If you already have an ilab account, your time request will be approved by Patrick.
Training
New users must undergo training prior to working on the spectrometer. The extent of the training will depend on the experiments to be run and will be tailored to each individual depending on their level of expertise. Nobody is allowed to work at the spectrometer unsupervised until sufficient training has been completed.
